Social Structure of the Renaissance
The Renaissance era had unique political structures that creaed an unusual social climate. In Italy, the land was divided into smaller city states which were linked to the past of the Roman Empire. Its social structure and culture revolved around merchants and commerce because the merchants told stories that came from opposite ends of the Earth and shared their beliefs. Many influences of their society came from trading centers. Art was also a big part of the Renaissance culture. Today we observe Renaissance art pieces and are able to see the views that people had on certain aspects of life, such as religious belief. We can also observe their political views, science, and architectural designs. Today our social structure is in many ways different, yet still the same. Art plays a huge part in today's society. (music, fashion, entertainment) Could you imagine life without it?... Political ideals and beliefs control the outcome of our economy and religious beliefs control the way some people think or behave. Our influences today mostly depend on the age. If you're young and naive, art is most likely your biggest inspiration. As you get older, thoughts are often based off of your religion and/or political views.

Social Life in the Renaissance
During hte Renaissance, women were to stay home and cook and clean. While the women were at home, the men were out working in the fields and, if they had one, the merchant shop. Children were generally treated like adults at the age of seven or eight. In a wealthy household, after seven, boys would be taken from their mothers to be taught. If they lived in a poorer household, boys went out to learn how to tend the fields with their fathers. On the other hand, girls would stay at home with their mothers learning household skills.
Marraige, in the eyes of the aristocrats, was purely to better their social standings. Although for the peasantry, it was done for love or at least a small chance of happiness. Although the main reason for both was to reproduce. But, even though most renaissance people married early (from teens to mid 20s) it wasn't common for them to make it to grandparent age.
